i am a quilter from southern teir of NY state

i live in the boondocks with my other half of 15 years and our 12 cats

I have a 26 year old daughter that lives in Charlotte NC with her BF

i started quilting after i fell down my stairs and injured my back and was unable to return to my job

qulting became my salvation and my sanity

i had always loved the quilt i seen as i live in an area with many mennonites

but had never seriously thought about making my own

i was looking for information about quilting and came across the quiltchat website and as they say "the rest is history" i am now one of those woman that new quilters come to with prob or ?

i have learned so much from the ladies there and have made so many life long friendships

this pattern is so easy and the result are great.

it makes a wonderful charity quilt or even a fast quilt for a gift

if you have a focus fabric it shows it off nicely

i quilted this with a flower and vine theme free motioned

i made this top in two days and quilted it in another 2 days

so was a gift in under a week

this is first step to BOM

this is a block of the month (bom) that we are working on as a group in quiltchat. There is also a yahoo group for this bom that you can get help from others and the designer. Quiltchat also has an hour on monday evening set aside for help and chat about this quilt as we all make it it has been so much fun to see how the color combos change the look of this quilt.
