Welcome,

Thank you for coming and putting your stuff up!  I really appreciate your support and your membership.  I hope you find yourself at home, and see some more of your work!

Sue

Welcome,

It is very nice to meet you, welcome to our web site. I really enjoyed seeing your quilt, and if you have some time to more up that would be great. I love to quilt and have several of my quilts and blocks up. Still working on putting them all up, some day. It is great, because my family and friends can see what I am up to. They like to check up on me.

Take care,

Sue

Sister Quilting Getaway Weekend

in

My sister and I have a quasi-tradition of a weekend away to indulge in our favorite hobby. This year we set up a a pretty nice hotel, the Westin. I think they were a little surprised at our initial requests...Can we have another table in the room? Uh, this new table is a little too tall, would you mind finding another table that's like the original table in the room? Oh, thanks for the second new table! It's perfect, but could we have another lamp so each table for have some light? Oh, and...well, you get the picture.

Made for my son who just graduated from HS. Variation of pattern by Possibilities.

This came from the "Welcome to My Cabin" book by Possibilites.  I think they capture the mountains so well.  I loved doing the quilting.  It's hard to see, but I put veins on the leaves, and clouds by the trees, and limbs in the trees.

I made this for my son last year during his senior year of high school.  I hoped it would remind him of all of our time at our family cabin in the mountains.  We go up there every summer.  He took it with him last week when he left for college!
